OBJECTIVES:
- Synthesize the evolution of AWHONN’s Respectful Maternity Care (RMC) framework, integrating evidence-based guidelines, clinical practice recommendations, and implementation strategies.
- Analyze key findings, challenges, and best practices from RMC implementation efforts, including a two-year multi-site study and the train-the-trainer pilot.
- Evaluate strategies for expanding and sustaining RMC initiatives through training, collaboration, and designation programs.
