AWHONN Industry Sponsored Posters
AWHONN is accepting abstracts for industry-sponsored posters for the 2026 AWHONN Convention, held in Orlando, June 6–10, 2026.
These abstracts represent completed, industry-sponsored research. Accepted posters:
- Are not eligible for nursing contact hours
- Are excluded from competitive judging
- Require a presentation fee to participate in the AWHONN National Convention

What Qualifies as an Industry-Sponsored Abstract
Abstracts must be clearly submitted as “industry-sponsored.”
An abstract is considered industry-sponsored if:
- The researchers or presenters are employees of a pharmaceutical or related corporation, or
- The project was directed or solely funded by a corporation
An abstract is not considered industry-sponsored if:
- The principal investigator received unrestricted support but maintained full control over the study’s design, implementation, and analysis.
Fees
2026 Exhibitor rates:
- $450 for exhibitors
- $600 for non-exhibitors
Presenters must register for the AWHONN Convention as either exhibitor or attendee.
Submission Guidelines
- Abstracts must be prepared according to the format listed below and submitted using the online application.
- Abstracts will be accepted based on their scientific merit, relevance to AWHONN practice specialties (Obstetric, Neonatal, and Women’s Health), and general interest.
- Review Board (IRB) approval MUST be obtained and documented in the abstract (including the name of the organization where the IRB approval was granted).
- Abstracts should contain original completed study data.
- Posters should not be of a commercial or promotional nature.
- Only one poster per study or protocol will be allowed for presentation, regardless of the number of sites or investigators presenting in the study.
- Posters will be displayed in an area separate from other posters and will be clearly identified as industry-sponsored.
- The posters will be designated as industry-sponsored in the conference materials and signage.
- At least one presenter must be onsite at the conference during the scheduled presentation time(s).
- The presenter does not need to be an author as long as they are familiar with the content and are able to answer questions.
Format for Abstract Submission
- Abstracts should be limited to 500 words maximum.
- Abstract Requirements:
- Authors’ name, credentials, institutional affiliation, and city
- Title
- Purpose/Research question
- Details of IRB approval.
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
- Clinical application(s), and
- Sponsoring company should be identified.
Timeline
- Application deadline: March 17, 2026
- Acceptance/Declination letters by: April 6th, 2026
- Confirmation and payment to AWHONN: May 6, 2026
Payment must be received in order for posters to be presented at the AWHONN Convention. An invoice will be sent if accepted and payment is received by April 15th, 2026
